Gargi Ghosh

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Short Bio

Dr. Gargi joined the Computational Medicine Center as a Postdoctoral Researcher in 2022. She received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Kalyani in 2021. During her Ph.D., she studied 5'-UTR mediated post-transcriptional regulation of Utrophin-A expression in mouse myoblast cells. Before joining Dr. Kirino’s Lab, Gargi worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Kalyani (January 2021-June 2022), where she focused on deciphering the role of Utrophin-A UTRs by CRISPR/Cas9 mediated editing of Cis-regulatory elements present in Utrophin-A mRNA. Now, her primary research goal is to understand the regulation of tRNA-derived fragments in diseases using Biochemistry, Molecular biology, and Bioinformatics.
