Our center was very honored to receive the prestigious W.M. Keck Foundation $1 million ‘Medical Research Grant’ in order to study pyknons. Pyknons are short sequences from the noncoding parts of the human genome that appear in almost every known gene and were discovered by Dr Isidore Rigoutsos, director of our center, at 2005.
