Megumi Shigematsu Receives Both JSBBA Young Scientists and Young Women Scientists Awards

Congratulations to Megumi Shigematsu for receiving both the JSBBA (Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry) Award for Young Scientists and the JSBBA Award for Young Women Scientists. This marks the first time in JSBBA’s history that a member has received both awards simultaneously. Both awards are in recognition of her work entitled “Characterization of novel short non-coding RNAs and their cleaving endoribonucleases”. These awards recognize honorable research contribution and the expectation of future progress in extending bioscience, biotechnology, and agrochemistry.
